Material Aid

MATERIAL AID
For most of the families we serve, just providing the basic necessities for survival is a struggle. Surviving on a few dollars a day, they have very little left over to pay for the basic material items and everyday expenses that are a part of life.

How We Help
Our programs are not only designed to help children through every phase of their growth into self-reliant adults, but also to help ease the burden of poverty on their families and improve their communities. We accomplish this by providing material support in the following categories:

Regular gifts: Children and youth enrolled in our program receive gifts for Christmas and birthdays. While not every culture celebrates these holidays, the seasonal distribution is still appreciated. Common gifts include shoes, clothing, backpacks and other useful items parents may not be able to afford for their growing children.

Disaster Relief: From emergency food, water and medical supplies to temporary shelter and home repairs, we help families endure natural and manmade disasters with our Lifeline Food Program.

Community support: CI distributes millions of items each year to help individual children, families, schools, libraries and entire communities. Distribution goods are donated by giving partners and include items such as shoes, books, soap and other hygiene items, medicines, wheelchairs, medical supplies and more.
