No Longer in the Program Cancel Title is required

So,I just received the 'No Longer in the Program' message for one of my kids fromIndia. Kid is scheduled to graduate from CI this August, but for an entire year,we had no communication as per the India sponsorship issues. I don’t knowwhat happened to my last EG from Oct 2023 either. It is sad as I didn't evenget to send him a final letter after 8 yrs of sponsorship, and that is what Ihate about it. This leads me to questions. Is the child’s mandatory 2 letters ayear the clue to CI that a child is not active in the program? If not, how doesCI know? This question excludes, of course, India as that is a different issue. 

This must mean that CI has started reaching out to India sponsors with updates about their children, and in some cases, the child will no longer be in the program after all that has happened with CI in India. I’m sorry you could no longer reconnect with your child.

@peppy007: We feel bad that we've not yet been able to resume letters between youth and their sponsors too.  We hope to be able to resume soon, but contacting the families and getting programs up and running are of course, the priority. As @elemay guessed, we are beginning to receive updates from the Indian offices about the youth and will begin sending them out in the coming weeks. We have already begun graduating those youth who are either 19 or close to being 19. As a reminder, all EG's donations we received in late 2023, were either refunded to the sponsors, moved to another child of the sponsor, or placed in our India Fund to help us when the program resumed.  If you would like to designate another use for your EG donations for your Indian youth, please reach out to the Care Team and they'll be happy to help.
