Is there a way to remove a child from the "my sponsorships" list? I have chosen to sponsor one child, but my list shows two children and my financial situation is not great. I can only afford one at this point in time and feel bad about having to give up the sponsorship of Jeffrey in the Philippines.

Any questions, comments, and/or concerns please include them in your response.

Contact CI. They can give you advise what to do. I had to give up sponsorships in the past and it was very difficult who to give up due to change in financial circumstances (redundancies, breakdown of a relationships etc.). maybe they can offer you a pay freeze? Contact them as soon as possible!! The reps are very helpful.

If you had an account and asked for more information on another child then he/she is automatically put on your account but since you haven't sent sponsorship money in for him you haven't fully become his sponsor. I was told that the child doesn't get notified until you make your first payment so just let CI know that you didn't intend to sponsor two kids and who you want to sponsor. Shouldn't be a problem.

I did e-mail them, but still waiting for a reply as I know the organization has grown since I sponsored a child in 2001 or 2002. When I saw the message board thing, I started looking to see if my question had been answered and then I posted because I figured maybe someone knew the answers.

Yes the issue was resolved and I will only sponsor one child as soon as the check goes through. Thank you for your help.
