Girl's sanitary products

Hello,

Does anyone know how involved CI is in sanitary products for girls and education about periods? My child is reaching poverty and I have read extensively about the difficulties girls and women in India go through during their periods, from not having access to the appropriate products to not being able to attend school or being forced to sleep outside. I want to make sure this is not the case and that my child is provided with all the necessary information. I have been part of other programs in Africa and as the child gets older, the menstrual cup is the best solution given the lack of access to tampons/napkins and the fact that it can be reused even if its not washed with water, and lasts 5-8 years.
Has anyone discussed this with CI before or have any information?
Thanks

The topic of menstruation can be a very sensitive topic in some of the areas we operate in. However, our adolescent health program does have sanitary products available for young girls when they start menstruating. Additionally, this program also provides education about periods.
