Can CI tell us whether Zambian sponsored children are able to see any photos we attach to our online letters or the art on CI’s letter templates? Most Zambian families don’t have a phone, so letters can’t be transmitted that way. I suppose they are not printed and handed to the children? I’d like to know whether it’s best to just send plain letters. That should be enough if nothing but the content of the message is communicated to the child in some manner. My sponsored child Stellah has not answered this question so far, so hopefully CI can shed some light on this.

Yes, letters for kids in Zambia are printed and given to them.

Thanks for this update. Can I just ask, do all SOA have colour printers to print our letters or are they in black/white?

Any chance for EG photos in the near future?

As you know, most EG funds are given to families directly either by a cash deposit or gift card/voucher and the families shop for themselves and are asked to write a thank you letter and if possible, send at least 1 photo. Our Zambia team continues to work on this, but for families without technology that allows them take and text/email photos, it is a challenge.
