Lead time for a visit?

I'm thinking about visiting my sponsored child in the Philippines in the Dec-Jan timeframe.  Is this enough lead time for CI to set up a visit, or do I need to push back the visit and allow more time for coordination?

Wanderer - How exciting for you to be able to go and visit your child! Please contact our Sponsor Services department by phone 1-800-888-3089 or by email children@children.org and one of our reps can help you set up the visit ;)

Wanderer,  that is awesome!  I was just in the Philippines visiting my children from all three offices of CI.  Which office is your child?  Let me know if I can help.  Wally

Wally, Hi ,
what would be the best way to get to Tabaco??

people have told me not to go to Manila as its too dangerous and far away?

Hi Sean,  where would you be coming from?  Manila is not dangerous.  As with any city you just must be careful and aware of your surroundings.  Manila to Tabago/Bicol is a one hour plane ride or 7 to 8 hour bus ride.  In general the Philippines is very safe.  Several members of this CI MSC community can vouch for this.  One of my friends traveled this past January by herself to QC, Manila and Bicol.  Hope this helps?
