The contributions are pooled together for all children to receive two gifts every year. They may not be presented with these labels in some countries out of respect for religion and beliefs. We're proud to have these options as it ensures every child feels special and has something new to feel proud of. It allows for sponsors to contribute any amount they are able to - whether that be a $1, an extra $20 or a generous larger amount. We are able to present the children with these gifts as long as we have the funds - without them many may have to go without. Remember these gift are also given to the children without sponsors - it reminds them they are still remembered.

Because the gifts are given to all a letter of thanks isn't written but we do keep a record of the gifts received, which is available on the website’s FAQs under the heading ‘Miscellaneous’. As far as letters from the child - they're kids, they will write what they want to. Some sponsors may have a child with a strong memory and some children may just be excited to tell you about something that day/week or any other thing. The children know the gift is from their sponsor.
