I just started sponsoring a child in Columbia, anyone have any experiences?

Hello Thyssa, I sponsor Wenderlis from Colombia since a couple of years. She has a twin sister who is sponsored as well. When I sent Egs they chose lots of cloth and shoes.. I assumed that food is not so expensive in Colombia but shoes and cloth are.. They also usualy love to wear something new at birthdays and Christmas..

I'll second mariemrcm's comment.  I sponsor a little girl in Colombia and when I send EGs, they are almost always used to buy clothes and shoes for her and her family.  She did get a toy with her Christmas EG, but everything else was garment based.
