Migration to a new system:

Question?  Is there anything for active, involved, committed sponsors to know or do during CI’s migration to a new system?  For me, I Have been able to login;  the only intermittent accessibility I am experiencing is on MSC where I consistently receive the “Timed Out” message when clicking on My Followers and My Media and sponsor profiles; and, yes, I notice the Slower Load Times.  I’ve been sponsoring for long enough now to have learned Change to new systems can bring a shock with what we lose even while we adjust to the new things we are blessed to enjoy.  So my question, Is there anything we need to know or do to adjust to the new system once it has been completely implemented?  (And BTW, how long does that take?). Thank you in advance.

The new system mentioned in the banner on our website is anew operating system that we are migrating to. We want to assure you that our new system will not affect the sponsorship experience as it relates to your sponsored child or our website. You may notice that when you interact with the Care Team, reps may need a little more time handling your requests than previously.
The loading speed on our website can be affected when our IT team is in the process of transferring accounts from our old operating system to the new one.

Thank you, Erin!  Does the IT Team work during typical business hours or round the clock, as the slowdowns I notice are unusually at night?   I already asked of the Care Team by email if I need to save everything on each child/youth’s record,  current or past, and the answer was CI cannot guarantee the letters, photos, records will always be available, so save all that I want to preserve.  Makes total sense, it’s common sense really.  So thanks again for the info.

The hours can vary, so please do not count on a specific time of day or a specific day for the migration to happen. We wanted to make sure that sponsors are aware that they could experience slower load times. As we mentioned in our email to you, we always recommend that sponsors save photos, letters, child records, etc. if it is important to them that they always have access to them.
