India November updates? Cancel Se requiere un título

Currently I'm still sponsoring in India.

CI told me in November that I'd get updates for my Indian children by the end of November, as they were all enrolled and participating in programs. However, the last updates are from June-July-August, according to the dates on the FRs. What might that mean?

I also noticed that the India discussion forum has been closed.

Hi Elemay- We began mailing out child/program updates for Indian children in September (over 9,000) and the next mailing was scheduled for November. However, it was delayed and those updates will now go out at the end of this month. The India message board was closed in 2024 to ensure that only official information from Children International was shared regarding India. Hope this helps!

I've just received updates by mail for all five of my Indian children. The updates confirm that they are all in school. The information is mostly generic, but I appreciate that they pinpoint which program has been the most beneficial for them, in this case, either medical support, educational assistance, academic guidance or skills training. This gives some insight into their lives, and if we receive these updates twice a year, it is certainly better than nothing. Oh, and I also found a new annual photo of one of the five on my account. Nonetheless, I hope CI is working towards allowing direct communication between sponsor and child, even if only a limited number of times per year, and at the very least an exchange of final letters. Living in hope!
