Hello, I just signed up a week after I found out that I have colon cancer. II am sponsoring a girl and boy. am 55. However, I am getting surgery next week. The surgeon told me it is the best case scenario and they are 99 percent sure I will not need anything other than the surgery and of course the healing. I have been a geriatric social worker since 1991. I love helping people and this is my way of giving back. I toss away money on silly things often. Anyway, I know I will heal fully and am so excited to get to know sponsors and also the children/families.
