I sponsor a sweet little boy from Ecuador named Fernando. He is too young to write letters himself so I always recieve beautifully written letters from his mother. When I write letters to him I always address them to him directly with questions about his life and his favorite things to do. I just sent him a DP and included some gifts for him and a greeting card for him. This time I also included a seperate card with a nice note to his mother thanking her for being such a wonderful mom to Fernando and for always writing me such nice notes. Was this ok for me to do? Will it get to her ok? I included his number on the card with "Fernando's Mother, and her name".

I have written to the parents of a couple of sponsored children in the Philippines...they have received them and responded at the same time as the sponsored child did...their letter was separate from the sponsored childs

I have 3 children that are two young to write so their Mothers write for them. I have sponsored Jillian that lives in the Philippines since 2009. I called and asked for her parents, sister and brothers bdays. I always send them a little something with a card on their bdays and at Christmas. I have recieved thank yous from them but it has been written in with Jillian's letter.

The staff will deliver everything in the DP (as long as it's not inappropriate) and I'm sure the mom will be thrilled to be recognized by you. If you write a letter for the child and address it to his mom, just be sure to clearly state the child's name and id on the letter (snail mail only), writing via My Account automatically adds the child's info at the top of the letter.

Sounds great! Thank you for the information. It sounds like she should get the letter just fine. :)
