Because I sponsor nine in Lusaka, Zambia, I was interested in local sources for direct packages of food and books (
like shopzed
and
bookworld zambia
) But nothing worked out. The grocery and bookstore websites in Lusaka went down or disappeared or didn't answer my emails or didn't acknowledge my orders -- the situation is/was extremely discouraging and off-putting. But I am happy to tell you, you can maximize your CI EG's (
Children International Extra monetary Gifts
) which will cost you less in processing fees, less in delivery fees, and be safe and efficient. When you give an EG of over $100 you can state preferences to be addressed, for instance, I state that I want the child/teen to buy a book. (
I am always pushing reading and education
) Done. CI makes it happen. I say that with confidence because when you send an EG over $100, you will receive a list of what was purchased and photos! I mean it, photos of what your money bought -- and a thank you letter from your sponsored child/teen. I have photos of my sponsored teens holding books I bought them!
(I love that)
