Family Gift Fund Question

I noticed this option recently and I wanted to know if the money people send goes towards the family of the sponsored child and not a general fund?

If I am right I would change the part in which the money you want to donate is multiplied by the number of sponsored children you have, and have people be able to choose what family they want to give to at the moment.  If I am wrong then ignore this sentence.

General fund to help families during COVID.

Extra Gift is the only way to directly send money to your sponsored youth(s) and, by extension, their families.

I would think so to, but says this :"Your donation to the  Family Gift fund helps provide a gift to your sponsored child’s family. You’ll help them meet some of their most urgent needs and let them know how much you care about their well-being"

Also, the donated amount is multiplied by the amount of sponsored children you have.

It's like this:
Donation: $10
sponsored children: 2
total:$20

Thanks for the feedback  on the Family Gift Fund mailing @Victoria. We never want our mailings to be misunderstood or confusing, so this is terrific feedback for our Marketing Team. As always, the amount(s) mentioned in the letter is just a suggestion and sponsors can send whatever amount fits their budget.

As BennyNJun mentioned this a pooled fund to provide help to every family with a child(ren) enrolled in our program (sponsored or not).   Thanks!
