How long after graduation did your sponsor kid contact?

I am fine not talking with my graduated, sponsored kid, but I do wonder what if an e-mail gets in my spam folder so I check once a month. But at some point I do want to stop checking.

To stay in touch with a graduated youth, you do need to send a final letter with your contact information. Do you recall when you sent your final letter via email to us to forward to your graduated youth?

My first sponsored child will graduate in 2 years. I also sponsor her younger brother and cousin. Because of this scenario, I won't be able to give out my contact information until they have all graduated from the program. CI told me that I could keep sending Gloria gifts through CI through her brother but designate it for her. Is this true? Has anyone else ever sponsored siblings with one graduating a few years before the other? How did you keep in touch to find out their needs?

Thanks, I was able to confirm that your final letter was shared with Carlos at the end of December/early January.

Yes, you would be able to give an EG gift to her cousin and/or brother and ask that Gloria be included. We encourage sponsors to make EG donations in whatever amount they are comfortable giving, without inquiring about needs first. Of course, if the sponsor wants to provide funding for educational needs, we will send an education inquiry for them.

My sponsored girl Jocelyn is the younger sister of my CI graduate, Joyce (they're actually in my profile picture, with their mother and brother). Jocelyn will frequently include updates about her sister when she writes to me, and I always include a sentence or two for Joyce when I write to Jocelyn. Joyce is a college graduate (she earned a scholarship, I supplemented by providing for her transportation costs) and works in IT, and at one point during the pandemic she was the sole source of income for their whole family. It is very nice to be able to keep updated on her while I also continue to support her Jocelyn.
