Guatemala Direct Packages Cancel Se requiere un título

It appears that USPS have lifted the long lasted suspension of mail services to Guatemala –

Can you provide an update, please.

Among the USPS International Service announcements, I cannot find Guatemala listed.  I see Tonga, Syria, Chile, Ukraine, I don't see Guatemala.  Can you highlight, copy and paste the notice into a post? Thank you.
I have a difficult time believing Guatemala suddenly, magically has a postal service which the United States has a new agreement with -- Guatemala has been without postal service for years, they closed all of their post offices -- the USPS refuses letters and packages addressed to Guatemala.  But as always, commerce finds a way: private couriers are used, DHL, UPS etc. offer limited service. 

Once the suspension lifted, it won't appear in the alert list.

Royal Mail resumed services on March 11, 2019.

Guatemalan Post has advised us they are resuming acceptance and processing of inbound letters and parcels. We will begin accepting mail for dispatch to Guatemala on Monday 11 March 2019.

Guatemala postal services closed down in April 2017.

Hopefully, CI will have an update from the SOA.

Royal Mail is the UK's letters and parcels delivery company.

Here is the response from CI's USPS rep:

“Guatemala Post recently announced that it is once again operational. However, the USPS has not yet resumed service there yet.”

Woo-hoo! Direct packages can again be sent to Guatemala via the USPS. :) 

Thanks for the update. It was effective since April 25, 2019.

We'd hate for a sponsor's package to not arrive, we wanted to make sure it was really up and running before we officially shared the news. 

Okay, maybe this explains why it is not possible to send a package (or even a letter ) to my adult, formerly sponsored girl in Guatemala. I did not realize that this country was on a USPS lockdown. I am glad to know that it might be lifted. (We are in touch via social media.)
