Occupation "other"?

I, too, have one listed as "other".  It's curious.  Also, this same child's last name is missing...  :/

Molly, as Elemay said, not having a recorded last name is not unusual for the Delhi CI children. All except two of mine have no last name listed.

What about "daily worker"? I'm guessing that means someone who doesn't have a steady job but does various temporary odd jobs? Also, I've been curious about what "regulated use" and "non-regulated use" electricity means, anyone know?

You are correct about 'daily worker'. They take whatever employment is available on a daily or short term basis. If electricity is regulated it is a legal use. If non-regulated the electricity is wired from an existing line and used/taken illegally (without paying an electric bill).

"Other" shows up in several fields. "Child lives with: Other" ... "Reason Not Attending School: Other". You can send an inquiry to CI to find out what that "Other" means, but that takes six weeks or so to get an answer back. I too wish they could type in a response instead of choosing from a ready-made list--it would alleviate a lot of Sponsor's questions to just have complete information on the report!

And as shocking as it would be to see "Child lives with: Husband" and "Reason Not Attending School: Pregnant" on an FR, I think it'd be less of a blow than having to send an inquiry and then feeling like CI was trying to hide something from you (I may or may not still be a BIT riled up about this ... sorry. =( ).

And as an added "rile" for me, for the Philippines they have stopped putting the towns of Legazpi and Tabaco on the FR and lists Bicol for where they live. Maybe for administrative purposes they needed to do that but as a sponsor I like knowing which area they live in. WHY? Because I'm such a weird old man I've chosen only these two areas to sponsor from (with the exception of one kid). In the future I hope I can call and find out where a child lives or I'll not sponsor the kid. Cruel? Maybe, but I consider sponsors have been treated cruel by some changes, or deletions CI have made. A new sponsor may not know the difference, but us older L1's and old MSC's know. I'M DONE NOW!!!
