New Sponsor to Quito, Ecuador Cancel Se requiere un título

Hi everyone!

My family and I are sponsoring Grace in Quito. This is our first child to sponsor. Any tips from Quito sponsors? I see it can be difficult to send things there through the mail? Another question I have is what do all of the abbreviations stand for on here - is there a list somewhere explaining them? DPs, EGs, etc. Thanks so much for any suggestions and we are really looking forward to being sponsors!

That’s true, you can send no packages at all to sponsored children in Ecuador, because of the country's postal ​policies. In addition to letters, you can send cards and photos, but only if you have written something in them. They would go via the CI Kansas City office. I think Ecuador wants to limit the entry of foreign goods and encourage local spending. This makes extra gifts (EGs) specifically for your child perfect. You can also donate money for birthday and Christmas gifts distributed to all sponsored children, not just yours. All these options are under the Give tab.
