I just read in Prensa Libre that through Canal 13 in Guatemala they have virtual classes Tuesdays & Thursday for basico from 9 -1:00
How can I find out if the family has a TV to be able to watch these classes.  The Community centers are closed so how can the kids have access to this.

Not sure on your exact question, I do follow CI Ecaudor on their Facebook page and sometimes I get an aerobics class on my fb video feed.

Most of our kids in Guatemala are still attending school (83%) at home either doing the work through worksheets or taking classes online and on television. Guides/Worksheets are provided in public education centers along with school meals or being sent to the youth via electronic means.  CI is providing education support through tutoring to any beneficiary who needs it through telephone or WhatsApp or Saturday radio tutoring.

If you want to help your child with his educational needs, you can either make a extra gift donation or, you can request that we send an inquiry to ask the family what educational needs the youth has at this point such as material/equipment to manage virtual classes (laptop/tablet, cellphone, tv etc.), connectivity (internet, data etc.)  Thanks.

How much to does equipment cost in Guatemala? I would want to offer help, but not if I cannot pay for it. And i do not want to make an inquiry if I cannot pay for it.

@Victoria_361fb, unfortunately, we don't have that info in our KC office. Each youth's situation is different. We do appreciate that you don't want to inquire if the needs are outside of your budget, so the best option is send a donation of $100 or more, and earmark it for whatever educational needs to youth has.
