Can sponsors donate to SPECIFIC kids in waiting? And if over  $100, can we still get pictures?
I'm not prepared to add more kids, but would be interested in doing something like this at the end of the year starting in November.

I was able to do that one year, back when I sponsored previously. I think if you have their child ID # when you contact CI they would let you.

I have done it in the past. You have to call CI and ask if the one you selected is eligible and it has to be for $100 or more. There are also other factors that the local office has to consider because the ones on the wait list may have lost a sponsor and don't know that or the gift may have negative impacts to the community. I have gotten a letter and picture in some cases via regular mail but it was not expected. So you just have to give without expecting anything in return and trust everything will work out okay when doing gifts to the wait list.
