Sponsor visits 2025/2026 Cancel Se requiere un título

Is anyone planning to visit kids this year or next year? If so what country do you plan on visiting?

It probably doesn't count since it won't be a CI visit, but I'm considering visiting my former sponsored child Eylin in Honduras in February/March of 2026. I sponsored her for almost 8 years and she just turned 21 a week and a half ago. We have been keeping in touch on Facebook and WhatsApp since she graduated. 

I travel every winter to somewhere in Latin America and if I'm going anywhere near Honduras next year then I'll visit Eylin ​to meet her and her family. I don't know if she believes it's really going to happen but she said she would like that and since I bought it up her mom and her older sister both added me on Facebook, so she must have mentioned it to them.

I think that wonderful that you plan on visiting one of your kids who graduated from the program. It’s different when you are in contact with a child who has graduated. We’re thinking Mexico or Ecuador for visits 

I'm not that good at having conversations with children, so I think visiting them before they are at least teenagers would be kind of awkward for everyone involved and I don't really want the big fanfare involved in sponsor visits, so I'll most likely only visit any of my sponsored children after graduation. LOL

I do enjoy reading the (rare) sponsor visit posts here on MSC, so I hope there are others planning to do visits in the next year or two.

We MIGHT do the Philippines again Jan/Feb 2026. We'll see how the funds shake out.
