Children International appoints Maria Fernanda Corral as vice president of global talent growth

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (May 13, 2019)Children International, a global humanitarian nonprofit that seeks to eradicate poverty and transform lives around the world, has named Maria Fernanda Corral as vice president of global talent growth.

In her new role, Corral will partner with the organization’s leadership team to build a value-driven culture that is relentlessly focused in its mission, further develop global talent growth and implement innovative practices to ensure the organization is attracting, developing and providing opportunities for people to fulfill their potential and achieve high performance. Children International operates 67 community centers in 10 countries, from Colombia to Zambia. More than 9,000 volunteer and local staff coordinate programs that focus on learning and growth.

Corral has more than 20 years of experience working with multinational companies in Ecuador and the United States in the fields of talent management and organizational development. She has coached business executives in North America, Europe, Latin America and Australia in leadership development initiatives as well as business strategies and professional issues. As a trainer and consultant in leadership and strategy execution, Corral has facilitated workshops in the U.S. and in a variety of Latin American countries, in both English and Spanish. For the past decade, Corral has served as partner and general manager in Ecuador for FranklinCovey (NYSE: FC), a global company specialized in performance improvement. Additionally, she is the president and founder of Mujeres por Mujeres (Women for Women Ecuador), a not-for-profit organization that promotes the advancement of women into leadership positions.
