POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a Connections Capability Lead for the Engaging with Children and Youth and their Families capability within Children International. The selected candidate will be responsible for driving the development and rollout of a strategy to maintain supportive relationships with children and youth and their families to ensure they receive the right services at the right time, remain supported and engaged, and stay on the Child Path.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategy Development: Lead the creation and execution of a global capability strategy in line with the Child Path Model, ensuring integration with other capabilities for agency-level support.
  • Capability Management: Maintain clear capability processes, utilize data and metrics for outcome evaluation, manage a detailed roadmap aligned with the organizational goals, and meet Child Path milestones.
  • Engagement Process Development: Design an engagement process for the Child Path Model with stakeholders, iterate based on insights, and manage bilingual communication for agency implementation.
  • Training and Support: Conduct training and workshops, provide global resources and tools, and offer coaching and support during program implementation field visits.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary contact for program capability with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and managing expectations.
  • Adaptive Management and Learning: Implement an agile, iterative action plan, organize learning sessions for continuous improvement, and adapt processes based on feedback.
  • User Experience and Customer Satisfaction: Develop engagement tracking tools, provide feedback capture guidance, and utilize insights for ongoing enhancement of user experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of five years leadership experience at an INGO required, including on the ground experience in countries outside of the US where Children International operates.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree preferred in a field related to the job responsibilities.
  • Experience with participatory processes to engage diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Languages: English spoken and written fluency required; Spanish fluency required.
  • Experience managing regional and global projects and ensuring quality and timely deliverables with the ability to influence across headquarters and country office departments and functions.
  • Strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and take on new projects as assigned.

  • Strictly observe confidentiality and strong ethics with respect to all beneficiary information/financial and other organizational data.
  • Comply with and ensure adherence to the agency's policies, safety and security protocols and child safeguarding norms and guidelines by self as well all stakeholders both internal and external.

OVERALL DECISION MAKING & SUPERVISION
  • This position requires decisions based on detailed instructions requiring occasional deviation from accepted practice.
  • This position is generally supervised.
