Jóvenes de Children International notaron cómo personas sin techo en su comunidad sufrían por no contar con servicios básicos y productos de aseo personal.
Los jóvenes apadrinados organizaron un evento especial mediante el cual regalaron un corte de pelo, artículos de aseo personal, una camisa, calzado, una comida... y amistad... a 125 personas sin hogar.
1. Evalúan las necesidades de la comunidad empleando sondeos y realizando entrevistas a los residentes y oficiales públicos.
2. Generan ideas y las convierten en propuestas que abordan las necesidades de su comunidad.
3. Revisan, seleccionan y finalizan los mejores proyectos.
4. Planifican, presupuestan y gestionan sus proyectos.
5. Reclutan voluntarios y socios locales (escuelas, centros de salud, negocios y agencias gubernamentales).
6. Analizan los resultados de su proyecto.

It's amazing what these kids can do & have done for their communities. I'm so glad I've been able to sponsor a girl from Guatemala since she was 5 and this year she turned 18. I just wish I could do more for her. Children's International is the best organization to sponsor a child or even several children if you are able. May God continue to always bless everyone who is involved.

This is an incredible video. So much emotion is shown in a minute. I am so happy to sponsor 2 children and be able to donate to Empower Youth! Continue blessing others!

My mom is from Colombia and this video is so humbling. Overall I believe in the goodness of people - despite everything. Bravo to these teens! Thank you for making a difference. :) xoxo

This was a wonderful story. Bought tears to my eyes. I think all children should watch this and see what a difference all children can make regardless of race, age and financial background.

Es algo verdaderamente maravilloso el que los jovenes no sean indiferentes ante los problemas sociales existentes y que al ser ellos agentes de cambio hacen que sea invaluable ser padrino de un niño porque son el futuro de la sociedad nuestros niños...

Our church sent 25 youth to the Mission Field to teach children the Bible. I hardly knew the Bible myself, but our church invested in the lives of their youth, and the children we taught on the field. Later, after school, I went for 2 years to reach the lost in Europe. Again my church supported me so that I could reach others. I met a girl from Sweden, we worked together on an OM Team reaching the lost. We married after the 2 years, went to seminary, and again our church paid my tuition to I could learn the Bible. The investment of service, time, and money into people, here and overseas, who need to be healthy, educated, empowered and employed, will make a difference for eternity. To love God includes loving others, and helping them, where they are, with both Word and Deed, both the Gospel and Good Works, providing what they need. We who have been trained must train others. The rich share and so do the poor, in ways God has gifted them. We want a Pot Luck, where everybody brings something to the table. Those who have money give it, but God has given everyone ability.
