A few years ago, I looked through many photos of children waiting for a sponsor. Most of the children were smiling, but then I saw a six-year-old girl who was not. A little angry, a little sad, certainly not hopeful. Who would sponsor her? I decided that I would. It took a few years, but I was thrilled to finally see her photo with a smile and sparkling eyes. Now she looks more mature and even writes me in English. I am delighted to have a regular exchange of letters.

I've been a sponsor for 5+ years, and have seen the transformation in my own (eleven) sponsored kids. I've visited 8 of them, and plan another visit in a year or so to meet them all. Most gratifying thing I've ever done.

I am so happy to hear that more children are being sponsored! We have been sponsoring a child in Ecuador for many years and it has been a wonderful experience. My daughter ended up spending a bridge year before college in Ecuador so she was able to visit Lidia and her father while there - such a thrill for both my daughter, Lidia, and her father! My daughter returned to Ecuador again this past summer and visited Lidia for the second time and was able to meet her mother as well. Children International does such as amazing job helping the children and we're so grateful to have found such a great organization! Thank you CI for all that you do!!!

I have been a sponsor for 14 years I had as many of 12 at one time. Now is 8. I'm glad to help out and make a difference in their lives.
I know the struggle is real and love to see the changes of improvement. The smile and letters I received.
Is the best thing I ever done.
